1. A method (200) for operating a burner (100), comprising:
supplying (210) a controlled quantity of combustion air to the burner (100),
supplying (220) a controlled quantity of fuel to the burner (100),
igniting (230) an air-fuel mixture located in the burner (100),
determining (240) a pressure pulsation value in an exhaust gas downstream of the burner (100), in an air path (13) upstream of the burner (100), or both,
determining (250) a deviation of the pressure pulsation value from a predefinable reference value, and
adjusting (252, 253) the quantity of combustion air, the quantity of fuel, or both depending on the deviation by increasing (253) the quantity of fuel and/or decreasing (252) the quantity of combustion air when the deviation falls below a predefinable first threshold value.
