1. A system for controlling a control surface, comprising: an actuator horn disposed within a fuselage, the actuator horn extendible in part from the fuselage via a fuselage housing aperture to contact and move the a control surface in an extended position, wherein the actuator horn is extendible through the fuselage housing aperture to contact the control surface, wherein an airfoil comprises the control surface, and wherein the actuator horn is disposed within the fuselage when the actuator horn is fully retracted, and wherein the actuator horn does not contact the control surface when the actuator horn is fully retracted when the airfoil is in a deployed position.
