1. A light module comprising:
a housing having a generally elongate shape and a power connector on a first end;
a longitudinally facing light source having a first length;
an outboard facing light source on a second end and having a second length, wherein the second end is opposite the first end and the first length is longer than the second length;
a power source located within the housing for powering the longitudinally facing light source and the outboard facing light source;
an orientation sensor; and
a magnetic sensor,
wherein the longitudinally facing light source and the outboard facing light source are capable of emitting light in at least a first light state and in a second light state,
wherein a processor is configured to set the light source to either the first state or the second state, dependent upon information provided by at least one of the orientation sensor and the magnetic sensor, and
wherein information provided by the orientation sensor is related to orientation of the light module, and
wherein information provided by the magnetic sensor is related to polarity of a magnet located near the magnetic sensor.
