1. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) configured with a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
detecting a radio link failure (RLF) of the MCG;
identifying whether an SCG transmission is suspended;
in case that the SCG transmission is suspended:
performing a connection re-establishment procedure; and
in case that the SCG transmission is not suspended:
suspending an MCG transmission for all signaling radio bearers (SRBs) and data radio bearers (DRBs) except SRB0, based on the detected RLF of the MCG;
resetting an MCG medium access control (MAC), based on the detected RLF of the MCG;
in case that a split SRB1 is configured for the UE, transmitting, to a secondary base station associated with the SCG via the split SRB1, information on the RLF of the MCG; and
in case that an SRB3 is configured for the UE, transmitting, to the secondary base station associated with the SCG via the SRB3, the information on the RLF of the MCG.
