1. A composition for enhancing the rate at which organic soil phosphorus is converted to orthophosphate comprising:
a bacterial strain Comamonas testosteroni, wherein the Comamonas testosteroni strain includes an rRNA 16S having a nucleotide sequence greater than 200 nucleotides in length, wherein the nucleotide sequence is at least 97% identical to SEQ ID NO: 1;
a bacterial strain Pseudomonas putida, wherein the Pseudomonas putida strain includes an rRNA 16S having a nucleotide sequence greater than 200 nucleotides in length, wherein the nucleotide sequence is at least 97% identical to SEQ ID NO: 2;
a third bacterial strain selected from Enterobacter cloacae and Citrobacter freundii, wherein the Enterobacter cloacae or Citrobacter freundii strain includes an rRNA 16S having a nucleotide sequence greater than 200 nucleotides in length, wherein the nucleotide sequence is at least 97% identical to SEQ ID NO: 3 or 4; and
a carrier comprising one or more compounds extracted from alfalfa.
