1. An apparatus for delivering carbon dioxide to a concrete mixer at a concrete facility comprising:
(i) a source of liquid carbon dioxide;
(ii) a delivery line comprising a proximal end and a distal end, operably connected at the proximal end to the source of liquid carbon dioxide, through which flows liquid carbon dioxide;
(iii) an orifice operably connected to the distal end of the delivery line, through which the liquid carbon dioxide exits from the delivery line, wherein the diameter of the delivery line as it joins the orifice is Dp and the diameter of the orifice is Do, and wherein Do is less than Dp and wherein the orifice is configured to convert the liquid carbon dioxide to a mixture of solid and gaseous carbon dioxide;
(iv) a conduit, all of which comprises flexible material, with a length of at least five feet, leading from the orifice to a wand having an opening which is positioned to apply the mixture of solid and gaseous carbon dioxide to concrete mixing in the mixer; and
(v) a controller, wherein the controller determines a flow rate and amount of carbon dioxide delivered to the mixer and outputs a signal to stop carbon dioxide delivery when a predetermined dose of carbon dioxide has been delivered.
