1. A vehicle, comprising:
a passenger compartment;
a plurality of access doors that separate the passenger compartment from a vehicle-exterior environment, the plurality of access doors being movable between an open position and a closed position;
a first seating assembly;
a second seating assembly positioned vehicle-rearward of the first seating assembly;
a third seating assembly positioned vehicle-rearward of the second seating assembly, the first, second, and third seating assemblies each comprising:
a seatbase;
a seat having a first end and a second end, the seat being movably coupled to the seatbase at the second end of the seat such that the seat is movable between an upwardly-stowed position and a downwardly-deployed position;
a seat actuator that adjusts an angular position of the seat relative to the seatbase;
a seatback movably coupled to the seatbase proximate to the second end of the seat, a seating surface of the seat and the seatback being configured to receive an occupant;
a seatback actuator that adjusts an angular position of the seatback relative to the seatbase;
a swivel assembly coupled to the seatbase;
a swivel actuator engaged with the swivel assembly such that the seatbase is rotatable about a vertical axis, wherein the second and third seating assemblies are selectively coupled with a secondary seating assembly coupled to the seating surface thereof, wherein the secondary seating assembly is smaller than the second seating assembly and configured to receive a smaller-statured occupant than the second seating assembly, wherein the secondary seating assembly coupled with the second seating assembly is accessed through the access door of a lateral side of the vehicle, and wherein the secondary seating assembly coupled with the third seating assembly is accessed through the access door of rear side of the vehicle; and
at least one occupancy sensor; and
a controller configured to:
receive request signals from a user interface to adjust a seating arrangement from a first arrangement to a child seat arrangement, wherein the child seat arrangement includes presenting a selected seating assembly to an adjacent access door, the selected seating assembly being on of the second and third seating assemblies;
detect, via the at least one occupancy sensor, whether the selected seating assembly is occupied;
upon confirmation, via the at least one occupancy sensor, that the selected seating assembly is unoccupied, transmits instruction signals to at least one component of the selected seating assembly, the at least one component chosen from the seat actuator, the seatback actuator, and the swivel actuator, wherein the controller adjusts the seating arrangement from ea first arrangement to the child seat arrangement in response to the transmitted instruction signals; and
upon confirmation, via the at least one occupancy sensor, that the selected seating assembly is occupied, notify a user and prompt the user to select one or more alternative seating assemblies within the passenger compartment to be presented to one or more of the plurality of access doors in the child seat arrangement, the one or more alternative seating assemblies within the passenger compartment having been confirmed, via the at least one occupancy sensor, to be unoccupied.
