1. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
determining, during an active call on a first radio access technology (RAT), that a signal strength associated with the first RAT is within a particular range above a handover threshold associated with triggering a handover from the first RAT to a second RAT;
determining, based at least in part on a signal strength of the second RAT, that the active call would be moved from the second RAT to a third RAT after the handover from the first RAT to the second RAT;
triggering mobility from the second RAT to the third RAT based at least in part on the determination that the signal strength associated with the first RAT is within the particular range and the determination that the active call would be moved from the second RAT to the third RAT; and
performing a handover from the first RAT to the third RAT based at least in part on the triggering of the mobility from the second RAT to the third RAT.
