1. A method comprising:
establishing by a processing system including at least one processor, a communication session between at least a first communication system of a first user and a plurality of communication systems of a plurality of additional users via at least one network;
determining, by the processing system, at least one topic for the communication session;
detecting, by the processing system via at least one topic detection model, an audio content of the first user via the first communication system of the first user that is off-topic, wherein an output of the at least one topic detection model includes a measure of adherence to the at least one topic based upon the audio content of the first user; and
applying, by the processing system, at least one remedial action within the communication session in response to the detecting that the audio content of the first user is off-topic, wherein the at least one remedial action comprises presenting, by the processing system, a notification to the first user at the first communication system of the first user that the audio content of the first user is detected to be off-topic, wherein the notification includes an indication of a degree that the audio content of the first user is detected to be off topic, and wherein the indication of the degree that the audio content of the first user is detected to be off topic is based on the measure of adherence.
