1. An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
a memory; and
one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to:
receive an indication of whether a rate match pattern indicates a first location of an uplink sub-band and a second location of at least one guard band for sub-band full duplex communication in a frequency band, the rate match pattern identifying resources that are to be avoided for downlink data communication, the uplink sub-band being separated from frequency resources for the downlink data communication in the frequency band by the at least one guard band;
receive information identifying the first location of the uplink sub-band, the second location of the at least one guard band, and a third location of at least one downlink sub-band; and
communicate according to the rate match pattern based at least in part on the indication.
