1. A hybrid supercapacitor comprising:
an electrolyte;
a carbon-based electrode including jute stick activated carbon; and,
a pseudocapacitive electrode,
wherein the pseudocapacitive electrode comprises:
a first metallic substrate; and,
a composite material disposed on the first metallic substrate, the composite material comprising a matrix of polyaniline in which are dispersed clustered nanorods of iron oxide (a-Fe2O3),
further wherein:
the polyaniline comprises an orthorhombic C6H7N phase, as determined by X-ray diffraction; and,
the nanorods of a-Fe2O3 have a median volume particle size (Dv50) of from about 10 to about 1000 nanometers (nm), as determined by Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM) analysis.
