1. A surgical instrument system comprising:
a coronal sizing and drill guide comprising a dovetail extension; and
a surgical instrument assembly including an elongate body extending between a distal end and a proximal end, a first rail and a second rail extending from the distal end of the elongate body to form a cavity sized and configured to receive the dovetail extension wherein the first rail and the second rail each have angled inner faces such that the cavity narrows along its length;
a recess defined within the distal end of the elongate body and a through hole communicating between a first side to a second side of the distal end of the elongate body;
a locking wedge located at least partially within the recess so as to have at least one spring in contact with the locking wedge, the at least one spring biasing the locking wedge toward the proximal end of the elongate body; and
a locking bolt disposed in the through hole such that rotation of the locking bolt in a first direction urges the locking wedge and dovetail extension in a distal direction.
