receiving information indicating a set of slots or symbols for a subband full duplex (SBFD) operation;
receiving a configuration of an SBFD format including at least a first subband for uplink communication and a second subband for downlink communication; and
receiving an indication that indicates for the UE to update the SBFD format for at least a subset of the set of slots or symbols, wherein the indication is associated with at least one of a slot format indicator (SFI), radio resource control (RRC) signaling, a scheduling downlink control information (DCI) for the UE, or a DCI not scheduling a data transmission for the UE; and
communicating with a network node using an adjusted SBFD format based on the indication.
