1. An access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD), comprising:
a processing system that includes processor circuitry and memory circuitry that stores code, the processing system configured to cause the AP MLD to:
establish a plurality of communication links with a wireless communication device;
communicate with the wireless communication device on a first communication link of the plurality of communication links, the communication being associated with a transmit opportunity (TXOP);
terminate the communication on the first communication link at a first time associated with a service period associated with a second communication link of the plurality of communication links, wherein the first time precedes a start of the service period by a duration greater than or equal to a transition delay associated with transitioning operations from the first communication link to the second communication link; and
exchange, on the second communication link, data with the wireless communication device during a period associated with the service period.
