1. An apparatus for wireless communication at an access point (AP), comprising:
a processor; and
memory coupled to the processor, the processor and memory operable to cause the apparatus to:
identify a transmission opportunity associated with communication via at least one subchannel of a wireless channel;
outputting, via the at least one subchannel during the transmission opportunity, a first portion of a packet that includes an aggregated physical layer control protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) (A-PPDU) header and a first subset of A-PPDU subframes of a set of A-PPDU subframes, the set of A-PPDU subframes aggregated in a time domain of the wireless channel;
obtain, from an application layer, a low-latency PPDU (LL-PPDU) subframe associated with latency-sensitive traffic;
insert the LL-PPDU subframe in place of at least one A-PPDU subframe of a second subset of A-PPDU subframes of the set of A-PPDU subframes in accordance with the latency-sensitive traffic; and
outputting, via the at least one subchannel during the transmission opportunity, a second portion of the packet that includes the LL-PPDU subframe and the second subset of A-PPDU subframes in accordance with the A-PPDU header.
