1. A method, comprising:
receiving, from a media source, an audio signal at a first device comprising a first speaker system;
playing audio content corresponding to the audio signal through a speaker of the first device;
detecting, using transceiver circuitry of the first device, a second device within a communication range of the first device based on a user interaction that brings the first device into the communication range of the second device; and
providing information associated with the audio signal from the first device to the second device over a wireless link established between the first device and the second device responsive to detecting the second device within the communication range of the first device, for output of the same audio content by the second device.
