1. A bagger device, comprising:
a bag handler configured to handle a web of packaging material configured to define a series of bags configured to be separable from the web, each bag having first and second walls enclosing an interior cavity configured to contain an object therein for shipping, the first wall including an expansion material that has an expandable configuration and that is expandable to an expanded configuration for providing padding to the first wall to protect the object contained within the interior cavity, wherein the bag handler comprises:
a bag opener configured to engage one or both of the first and second walls and form an opening between the first and second walls to enable the object to be received into the interior cavity through the opening,
a sealer configured for sealing closed the opening between the first and second walls to the interior cavity to retain the object therein, and
a separator configured to separate the bag from an adjacent bag in the series of bags after the opening has been sealed; and
an expansion device configured to apply expanding conditions to the packaging material associated with each bag prior to separation from the adjacent bag in the series of bags, the expanding conditions configured to cause the expansion material to expand from the expandable configuration to the expanded configuration.
