1. An all-wheel drive system for a vehicle having a longitudinal axis, comprising:
an electric motor configured to generate torque, the electric motor having an output shaft that extends along a first axis, the first axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis;
a first drive system including a first clutch and a first differential system configured to be coupled to a second drive system and to transfer the torque to first wheels of the vehicle in a first state of the first clutch; and
the second drive system including a second drive shaft and a second differential system, the second drive shaft coupled to the output shaft and configured to transfer the torque to the second differential system, the second differential system configured to transfer the torque to second wheels of the vehicle, the second differential system extending along a second axis substantially parallel to the first axis, wherein the second drive shaft is coaxial with the output shaft and defines a gear that is coupled to a ring gear of the second differential system.
