1. A component, comprising:
a substrate having a first contact surface shaped to cooperate with a second contact surface of an abutting member in a manner which can develop wear between the first contact surface and the second contact surface, each of the first contact surface and the second contact surface having an anti-fretting coating thereon formed from an anti-fretting coating composition having:
from 55 weight % to 80 weight % of cobalt;
from 20 weight % to 40 weight % of an aluminum-oxide powder;
from 5 weight % to 20 weight % of a viscoelasticity-modifying composition comprising a mixture of 25 weight % to 50 weight % calcium oxide, 10 weight % to 40 weight % aluminum oxide, and 20 weight % to 65 weight % silicon dioxide, wherein the viscoelasticity-modifying composition forms a phase within the anti-fretting coating.
