A dental care composition comprising: 5% guava leaf extract, 0.1% honey, and 0.1% sodium perborate: wherein the guava lead extract, honey, and sodium perborate synergistically interact when introduced in the oral environment to act on cells under oxidative stress, thereby providing wound healing via anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities.
