1. A connector for connecting a vial to an infusion bag, the connector comprising:
a part that is configured to rotatably connect directly to the vial;
a seal; and
a spike carrier that interfaces with the seal, the spike carrier comprising a spike that is configured to pierce a septum of the vial to rotatably fix the spike carrier to the vial, wherein:
the spike carrier, when the vial is rotatably connected to the part with the spike pierced through and rotatably fixed to the septum, is configured to rotate together with the vial and relative to the seal and to the part between an open position and a closed position,
the spike carrier and the seal, when the spike carrier is in the open position, define a pathway for fluid communication between spike carrier and the seal, and
the spike carrier and the seal, when the spike carrier in the closed position, prevent fluid communication between the spike carrier and the seal.
