1. A method of reducing a syndesmotic injury comprising the steps of:
wrapping an ankle exhibiting the syndesmotic injury with an ankle wrap having an intermediate portion with an open window or slot therein over a location of the syndesmotic injury to facilitate internal hardware placement at the location of the syndesmotic injury without the need for removal of the ankle wrap;
stabilizing the syndesmotic injury using the internal hardware, wherein said stabilizing includes performing said internal hardware placement through the open window or slot in the ankle wrap; and
after performing said stabilizing, removing the ankle wrap.
