1. A device configured for insertion into an eye, the device comprising:
a base comprising:
an anterior section surrounding an anterior opening, wherein the anterior section has a posterior surface;
a posterior section surrounding a posterior opening, wherein the posterior section has an anterior surface;
an in-ward facing lateral wall extending between the anterior and the posterior sections; and
a passage extending through the device from the anterior opening to the posterior opening;
wherein a first angle is formed by an anterior end of the in-ward facing lateral wall and the posterior surface of the anterior section and a second angle is formed by a posterior end of the in-ward facing lateral wall and the anterior surface of the posterior section; and a lens including at least one tab configured to be received between the first angle and the second angle of the base, wherein the at least one tab has a thickness that corresponds to an anterior-posterior dimension defined by a distance between the anterior end and the posterior end of the in-ward facing lateral wall of the base.
