1. An aerosol-generating device comprising:
an insertion space configured to accommodate insertion of a stick;
a door comprising a magnetic portion and configured to cover an opening of the insertion space;
a hinge member coupled to the door and configured to allow the door to be pivoted inward into the insertion space and accommodated in an inner space defined by a recessed portion at the insertion space;
a magnetic sensor disposed adjacent to the inner space and configured to sense a magnetic field of the magnetic portion of the door when the door is pivoted into the inner space; and
a controller configured to determine insertion of the stick based on the magnetic sensor sensing the door being pivoted into the inner space.
