1. An apparatus arranged to heat smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material, the apparatus comprising:
a housing, the housing having:
a first opening at a first end through which the smokable material can pass so as to be received within and removed from the apparatus in use, and
a second opening at a second end opposed from the first end, and a chamber between the first opening and the second opening;
at least one heater arranged within the housing for heating the smokable material removably received within the chamber in use; and
a hollow tube located within the chamber at the second end, wherein the hollow tube at the second end is arranged to support the heater at the second end;
wherein the chamber has a region of reduced internal diameter towards the second end to provide a stop for smokable material passed through the first opening in use.
