1. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a base station, a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in multiple slots; and
receiving, from the base station, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) providing hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) information for PUSCH transmissions in the multiple slots,
wherein a validity of the HARQ-ACK information is based on a PUSCH transmission in a first slot from the multiple slots, in case that a value of the HARQ-ACK information is ACK, and
wherein the validity of the HARQ-ACK information is based on a PUSCH transmission in a last slot from the multiple slots, in case that the value of the HARQ-ACK information is negative ACK (NACK).
