1. A method, comprising:
receiving, by a retrieval server from a requesting server, an identification request initiated by a redirection action of web content software;
responsive to the identification request, determining a unique identifier previously utilized by a user and corresponding to the retrieval server; and
sending, from the retrieval server to the web content software, a redirect request that includes user identifying information corresponding to the unique identifier, wherein the redirect request is configured to automatically redirect the web content software from a retrieval server interface to a requesting server interface such that the user identifying information corresponding to the unique identifier is provided to the requesting server, and wherein the user identifying information is usable by the requesting server at least to provide customized content corresponding to the user identifying information.
