1. A method comprising:
providing a shared immersive experience to a user of a first immersive device in accordance with first rules for sharing and a first level of immersiveness, and based on a received set of content relating to an already existing immersive experience session of a user of a second immersive device;
determining a change in proximity between the first immersive device and the second immersive device;
changing from a first experience-sharing mode to a second experience-sharing mode based on the determined change in proximity, wherein the first experience sharing mode having the first level of immersiveness and comprising the first rules for sharing, wherein the second experience sharing mode having a corresponding second level of immersiveness and comprising second rules for sharing, and wherein the first level of immersiveness and the second level of immersiveness are at different levels; and
providing an updated shared immersive experience to the user of the first immersive device in accordance with the second rules for sharing and the second level of immersiveness, and based on the received set of content relating to the already existing current immersive experience session of the user of the second immersive device.
