1. A system comprising:
a glass solid support;
a receiving array removably attached to the glass solid support, comprising a plurality of receptacles each forming an internal cavity, wherein one or more receptacles comprise a cell or tissue sample; and
a piston array comprising a base and a plurality of spring actuated pistons extending from the base and wherein the pistons are sized and shaped to fit within the internal cavity of the receptacles.
