1. A medical device comprising:
a therapy delivery circuit configured to generate electrical stimulation pulses; and
a control circuit configured to control the therapy delivery circuit to:
generate the electrical stimulation pulses as alternating polarity pulses comprising n−1 alternating polarity therapeutic pulses that deliver a net electrical charge and an nth pulse, wherein the n−1 alternating polarity therapeutic pulses include at least one pair of opposite polarity therapeutic pulses such that n is at least 3; and
modify the nth pulse of the alternating polarity pulses to reduce the net electrical charge delivered over the n−1 alternating polarity therapeutic pulses.
