1. A baseband processor for a user equipment (UE) configured to, when executing instructions stored in a memory, perform operations comprising:
communicating using a PC5 unicast link for PC5 vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication;
configuring a keep alive (KA) coordination scheme to monitor a status of the PC5unicast link; and
configuring a first KA timer based on the KA coordination scheme, including, generating a random number via a random number generator, and adding or subtracting the random number to a KA timer value.
