1. A method of route selection, the method comprising:
receiving, by a network repository, from a first network function (NF), a query identifying a target NF type, wherein the network repository comprises a network repository function (NRF);
identifying, by the network repository, a first target NF and a second target NF associated with the target NF type;
querying, by the network repository, a route selection node for a shortest path to the first target NF and a shortest path to the second target NE;
receiving, by the network repository, from the route selection node, indications of a first shortest path to the first target NF and an alternative shortest path to the second target NF;
selecting, from among the first shortest path and the alternative shortest path, a selected shortest path;
based on at least selecting the selected shortest path, transmitting, by the network repository, to the first NF, a route to a target NF identified in the selected shortest path; and
transmitting a message from the first NF to the target NF along the route indicated by the network repository, wherein the transmitted message comprises an ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) service message.
