1. A method, comprising:
receiving, via at least one processor of user equipment, system information from a terrestrial communication node;
determining, via the at least one processor, that the system information comprises a network signaling value that indicates a regional regulation or standard;
configuring, via the at least one processor, a transmitter of the user equipment with one or more emission masks according to the regional regulation or standard; and
transmitting, via the at least one processor, data to a non-terrestrial communication node using the transmitter configured with the one or more emission masks according to the regional regulation or standard.
