1. A portable electronic device, comprising:
an interface circuit configured to wirelessly communicate with a second electronic device and a third electronic device; and
a secure element, coupled to the interface circuit, configured to:
conduct a financial transaction with the second electronic device, wherein to conduct the financial transaction, the secure element is configured to:
encrypt financial-account information using an encryption key;
transmit the encrypted financial-account information to the third electronic device:
receive a re-encrypted financial-account information from the third electronic device, wherein the secure element is unable to decrypt the re-encrypted financial-account information; and
transmit the re-encrypted financial-account information to the second electronic device to conduct the financial transaction;
determine, after the portable electronic device communicates the encrypted financial-account information to the second electronic device, a first unique transaction identifier for the financial transaction based on the financial-account information and a remote-payment cryptogram provided by the third electronic device,
wherein the remote-payment cryptogram is generated using the encryption key used to perform a cryptographic operation on the financial-account information, and
wherein the encryption key is associated with the third electronic device different from the portable electronic device and the second electronic device;
compare the first unique transaction identifier with a second unique transaction identifier received from the third electronic device to determine whether the second unique transaction identifier matches the first unique transaction identifier; and
associate a received financial transaction receipt information with the financial transaction in response to the second unique transaction identifier matching the first unique transaction identifier.
