1. A method comprising:
executing one or more applications on one or more redundant resources in a first storage system in a fleet of storage systems while the one or more redundant resources are in a passive mode;
determining that the first storage system is failing over from first resources to the one or more redundant resources;
switching execution of the one or more applications from the one or more redundant resources to the first resources; and
executing the one or more applications on the first resources while the first resources are in a passive mode.
