1. A local computer for managing managed devices, the managed devices and the local computer being local to a facility having at least one electric machine monitored by sensors, the electric machine having a peak power of at least 100 kW, the managed devices having at least one acquisition unit for the sensors, the managed devices configured to communicate over a local network, the local computer positioned at a boundary between the local network and a telecommunications network, the local computer configured to communicate i) with the managed devices via a local network and ii) with a remote computer via a telecommunications network, the local computer having:
a hardware processor;
non-transitory memory storing executable instructions which, when executed by the hardware processor, cause the local computer to:
compute actions corresponding to the difference between a current local state of the managed devices and a target local state for the managed devices, said actions to be executed by the managed devices for bringing the current local state into compliance with the target local state, said actions including a first action and a second action, the first action dependent on the second action for execution;
communicate the actions to the managed devices, via the local network, for execution;
subsequently to said communicating the actions, monitor current states of the managed devices, including detecting a change in the current states of the managed devices, the change reflecting the execution of at least the second action at the managed devices, and update the current local state to reflect the change;
compute updated actions corresponding to an updated difference between the current local state and the target local state, following said updating, said second action being absent from the updated actions, said first action being present in the updated actions;
communicate the updated actions, including the first action, to the managed devices, via the local network.
