1. A method of forming a welded connection between a first object and a second object, the first object and the second object being electrically conductive, wherein said method comprises:
coating a first region of the first object with an electro-spark discharge coating;
placing the second object in contact with the coated region of the first object;
subsequently welding the second object to the electro-spark discharged coating of the first region of the first object; and
said welding of said second object to said electro-spark discharge coated first region of said first object is by electro-spark discharge welding.
