1. A firestop collar, comprising:
a frame comprising a plurality of frame parts, and
an intumescent material disposed in the frame,
wherein each of the plurality of frame parts has a side portion and a front part extending as a straight part in a radially-inward direction in the installed state, and does not extend into the intumescent material,
wherein the plurality of frame parts are arranged in at least one adjacent pair to form a predetermined rectangular shape of the frame having an opening, the intumescent material extending inward past opposing front parts of the plurality of frame parts along a radial axis that passes through a center of the opening, each of the plurality of frame parts removably coupled to one another, the removable coupling to allow corresponding ones of the plurality of frame parts to detach from and reattach to one another, and wherein the intumescent material comprises an opening to receive a pipe, cable, or line passing through the frame,
wherein each of the plurality of frame parts has an L-shaped cross section in a plane parallel to the pipe, cable, or line, formed by the side portion and the front part, and
wherein the plurality of frame parts comprises at least one frame part having an L-shaped cross section in a plane perpendicular to the pipe, cable, or line, thereby forming at least one right-angle corner which, in the installed state, forms a right-angle corner of the predetermined rectangular shape around the opening.
