1. A mobility assistance device, comprising:
a connection line configured to be coupled to a user;
a motor configured to extend and retract the connection line to adjust a posture of the user; and
a controller, wherein the controller is configured to:
receive a motor speed signal representing a speed of the motor; and
operate in a lifting mode to send a drive signal to the motor, the drive signal being based on a comparison between the speed of the motor and a reference speed; and
adjust the drive signal to automatically adjust torque based on a weight and strength of the user to maintain the speed of the motor at a constant speed during the lifting mode.
