1. A pack for holding and re-charging an e-cigarette, said pack comprising:
a pack battery;
a body portion;
a tube for receiving an e-cigarette;
a re-charging mechanism configured to re-charge a battery of the e-cigarette received into said tube using the pack battery; and
a lid attached to the body portion, where said lid can be opened to allow the e-cigarette to be received into the tube, and closed to retain the e-cigarette in the tube;
wherein the pack is configured to transition from a higher power state to a lower power state a predetermined period of time after activation of a switch,
wherein the pack includes one or more lights for indicating a charge status of the pack battery, and
wherein the one or more light are faded out as part of the transition to the lower power state after the predetermined period of time has expired.
