1. A method of communications, comprising:
determining, by a user equipment, that the user equipment is configured for enhanced early measurement reporting, the determining being based on a radio resource control message received from a network node, the radio resource control message comprising a first indication to the user equipment to save an enhanced early measurement reporting configuration;
determining, by the user equipment, whether to initiate early measurement reporting measurements based on a second indication when the user equipment is configured for the enhanced early measurement reporting; and
initiating, by the user equipment, the early measurement reporting measurements in response to determining to initiate the early measurement reporting measurements,
wherein the second indication comprises
a wake-up signal/indication received by the user equipment from the network node, or
uplink data available for transmission at the user equipment.
