1. A device arranged to include a galvanic isolation barrier between a first voltage domain and a second voltage domain, the device comprising:
a first circuit configured to operate in the first voltage domain;
a second circuit configured to operate the second voltage domain;
one or more isolation elements configured to define the galvanic isolation barrier between the first voltage domain and the second voltage domain; and
a differential communication channel configured to communicate data between the first circuit and the second circuit across the galvanic isolation barrier, wherein the first circuit and the second circuit are configured to code the data across the differential communication channel using a first coding technique and a second coding technique,
wherein the first coding technique comprises ON-OFF shift Keying (OOK) with a differential carrier signal, and
wherein the second coding technique comprises differential pulse coding.
