6. A power quality compensation system, comprising:
an input filter, and
a power electronic converter, and
a controller configured to control the power electronic converter, and
a plurality of inductors connected to the power electronic converter,
wherein the controller is configured to adjust switching frequency to reduce switching loss based on a threshold performance fidelity,
wherein as the performance fidelity rises above the threshold performance fidelity the controller is configured to adjust the switching frequency to a second switching frequency based on a cost function of the model predictive control which second switching frequency is a suboptimal switching frequency, and
wherein the threshold performance fidelity is user-specified.
