1. A memory card comprising:
a nonvolatile memory; and
a controller connectable to a host via an interface conforming to PCI Express™ (PCIe™) standard, capable of performing communication for data write or data read via a protocol conforming to NVM Express™ (NVMe™) standard, with the host, and configured to control the nonvolatile memory, wherein
the controller is configured to
perform initialization of the interface cooperatively with the host,
determine a maximum performance capable of being supported from among a plurality of performance specified in advance for stream recording, based on a bus configuration of the interface determined at the interface initialization and a maximum allowable power consumption set during the interface initialization, and
configure the power state register specified by the NVMe™ standard with plurality of power states with descending order of power consumption and also descending order of performance, and
the plurality of power states includes power states for stream recording that are correspondence to a list of specific performance for stream recording.
