1. A pre-coated steel substrate comprising:
a steel substrate comprising above 0.05 wt. % of Si;
a first pre-coating on the steel substrate, the first pre-coating consisting of titanium and having a thickness of 40 nm to 1200 nm;
a zinc-based second pre-coating; and
an intermediate pre-coating layer located between the first pre-coating and the zinc-based second precoating, the intermediate pre-coating layer comprising at least 8% by weight nickel and at least 10% by weight chromium, a remainder being iron; the intermediate pre-coating layer having a thickness between 2 and 30 nm.
