1. A process for converting C8 aromatic hydrocarbons, comprising:
(I) feeding a gaseous hydrocarbon feed comprising meta-xylene, ortho-xylene, or both into a conversion zone; and
(II) contacting the gaseous hydrocarbon feed with a catalyst comprising a ZSM-11 zeolite in the conversion zone under conversion conditions to effect isomerization of at least a portion of any meta-xylene, at least a portion of any ortho-xylene, or both to produce a conversion product n comprising para-xylene, wherein the ZSM-11 zeolite has an alpha value of 1 to 3,000, a total surface area of less than 500 m2/g, and a molar ratio of silica to alumina of from 25 to 50.
