1. An automated storage and retrieval system comprising:
at least one autonomous transport vehicle;
an elevated transfer deck that defines a transport surface for the at least one autonomous transport vehicle at an elevated level from an output conveyor at a lower level; and
more than one goods interface station connected to the transfer deck and spaced apart from each other, each goods interface station forming a goods transfer interfacing between the at least one autonomous transport vehicle on the transfer deck and a lowering transfer at each of the more than one goods interface station so that a goods unit is transferred via the lowering transfer from the at least one autonomous transport vehicle at each of the more than one goods interface station;
wherein the at least one autonomous transport vehicle is configured to traverse the transfer deck transporting a first goods unit and transfer via the lowering transfer the first goods unit at one of the more than one goods interface station so that the one of the more than one goods interface station has multiple goods units transferred down in an order sequence of goods units that defines a successive sequence, of ordered multiple goods units, dependent from and embodying a predetermined goods unit out order sequence of mixed goods units having a predetermined successive sequence of ordered mixed goods units.
