10. A control method for a hybrid electric vehicle, comprising:
determining, by a processor, whether there is an attempt to fuel the vehicle;
entering, by the processor, a refueling mode in which a state in which an engine is turned off and maintained based on determination that there is the attempt to fuel the vehicle;
skipping or otherwise refraining, by the processor, from monitoring of a driver's requested output in the refueling mode; and
releasing, by the processor, the refueling mode to turn on the engine according to an engine starting condition based on refueling being completed.
