1. A skull pin holder assembly for use with a surgical headrest, comprising:
a plurality of skull pin holders, each of the plurality of skull pin holders comprising:
a pin having a tip and a base;
a pin cup for holding the tip of the pin;
a threaded barrel coupled to the base of the pin, the threaded barrel threadably engaging a locking block for adjusting the position of the pin;
a mechanical pin pressure measuring device integrated into the threaded barrel, the mechanical pin pressure measuring device configured to measure the pressure exerted by the pin at the interface with the skull;
a plurality of positioning arms mechanically supporting the plurality of skull pin holders with respect to rotation and height; and
a plurality of locking levers for securing the plurality of positioning arms in place; and
each of the plurality of skull pin holders being adjustably positioned on a rail, the rail configured to define at least a partial orbit around the skull for adjustable positioning of each pin holder along the rail.
