1. An aerosol-generating device, comprising:
a cavity configured to receive an aerosol-generating article comprising an aerosol-forming substrate, wherein the cavity comprises a base, and wherein the base comprises at least one air aperture;
an induction heating arrangement comprising a susceptor arrangement and an induction coil, wherein the susceptor arrangement has one or more sidewalls, and wherein the induction heating arrangement is arranged at least partly surrounding or forming the cavity;
a thermally insulating element arranged between the susceptor arrangement and the induction coil, wherein the thermally insulating element is sealingly attached to the base so as to prevent lateral airflow in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating device into the cavity at the base of the cavity,
wherein the one or more sidewalls of the susceptor arrangement are formed from blade-shaped susceptors, and
wherein the one or more sidewalls of the susceptor arrangement are permeable and configured for lateral airflow to enter the cavity in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating device; and
a gap provided between the one or more sidewalls of the susceptor arrangement and one or more sidewalls of the thermal insulating element, the gap allowing axial airflow within the gap.
